Sustainability at Mantra Esplanade

Here at Mantra Esplanade, we are committed to embedding sustainability into every facet of our daily operations. We recognise that sustainability is an ongoing journey and are continually striving to reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible. Below are some of the initiatives we have implemented to date.

Dry Amenities

We are delighted to share our ongoing commitment to reducing single-use plastics in our guest rooms. As part of this initiative, we have made a significant decision to eliminate single-use dry amenities such as toothbrushes, combs, and shower caps from our guest rooms. Instead, guests can request bamboo dry amenities by calling room service or visiting our friendly team at reception.

Large Amenities

As part of our ongoing efforts, we have made the proactive decision to move to large format amenities, replacing our single-use plastic common amenities with refillable pump dispensers throughout the hotel. By eliminating single-use plastic bottles, we are significantly reducing the amount of waste generated by our operations. This commitment aligns with our dedication to environmental stewardship and reflects our ongoing efforts to improve sustainability in all aspects of our hotel.

Recycling

At Mantra Esplanade, all hotel waste is separated into co-mingle, cardboard, food waste and general waste, minimising our impact on landfill.  In addition, we have taken a number of steps to further reduce water and embrace a circular system such as,

  • Sourcing local products
  • Ordering guest amenities in bulk to reduce wastage.
  • Removing single use water bottles for guest amenities.

Acknowledgement of Country

Here at Mantra Esplanade, we are committed to fostering a strong sense of community and supporting the original custodians of the land in which we operate, the Gimuy-walubarra Yidinji people. Through meaningful engagement and collaboration, we strive to honour and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Gimuy-walubarra Yidinji nation.

Our initiatives include partnering with local Indigenous artists and businesses, offering cultural education for both guests and staff, and actively contributing to the economic and social well-being of the Gimuy-walubarra Yidinji community.

By working together in harmony and respect, we aim to create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and included.

Additionally, there are 4 rooms in the property that are dedicated accessible rooms. These have walk in showers, toilet with railing and also wide opening for access. All rooms in our property can be accessed by the use of an elevator.

Additionally, our friendly staff are available to assist with any specific accessibility needs or requests to ensure that every guest enjoys a comfortable and memorable stay with us.
